About Us

I have a degree in commercial art from Kansas State University with a minor in English.  I've always had an eye for editing, even finding errors in best sellers that I'm reading for fun. In 2003 I decided to set up my website and do free-lance editing. I noticed that many editors charge such high prices most people really couldn't afford them. Since I like to edit and think I do a pretty good job, I charge a lower price than many you'll find.

I like to work by sending back the edit a few chapters at a time, as I go. That way, if there is a problem, it can be addressed right away. I also don't require full payment up front, just a partial payment to get started and then one or two more later on as we proceed.  That is negotiable. I will ask for full payment before I send back the last few chapters. This method allows you to stop in the middle if you think it isn't working, while I will have been paid for what I've done.

I can't guarantee that you'll sell your book or article, of course, but I do guarantee that you'll see an improvement and the manuscript will be in the proper format for submitting to a publisher, if that's what you intend to do with it. If you plan to self-publish, the formatting isn't quite so important.

Seeing my edits become actual books gives me a real feeling of accomplishment. No, I can't claim any best sellers, but many past edits have  become self-published books and novels.
